Arogya: Towards total well-being, beyond disease...

Health is a state where the vital force can move our body, influencing its functions. The term 'vital force' (Prāṇa or Ch'i) refers to the essential energy for life, distinguishing a living creature from a lifeless body. Without this force, essential life characteristics — sensation, functions, and self-preservation — are absent. The material body and life force are thus inseparable.

A truly healthy body is not just free from illness, it maintains harmony in functions and sensations. This allows us to use our mental, physical, and spiritual well-being intelligently to fulfill life's mission. In Sanskrit, this balanced state of complete well-being is referred to as Arogya — literally meaning ‘free of sickness’ or ‘total well-being in a disease-free state’. Arogya thus reflects a holistic vision of health: not merely the absence of disease, but the presence of balance, vitality, and resilience.

Conversely, disease arises when the dynamic vital force is deranged by a disease-causing agent. This leads to disruption in normal physiology and pathological changes, evident in signs and symptoms.

Why Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is unique in that homeopathic remedies are proven on healthy human beings. After several trials of proving on various healthy individuals of different age and gender, the symptoms that present themselves with the greatest frequency eventually qualify towards the creation of a picture and the record of a homeopathic medicine. Central to homeopathic philosophy is the principle of "Like cures like". This implies that a substance capable of producing symptoms in a healthy human being can stimulate healing when administered in an appropriate dose to a person suffering from similar symptoms. Therefore, a properly selected homeopathic medicine when given in an appropriately minute dose to a sick individual produces an artificial disease. This artificially induced disease is stronger than the natural disease that already exists in the patient’s body and is the primary mode of action of the medicine. According to the nature’s law of cure, it is known that a weaker dynamic affection is permanently extinguished by a stronger affection, if the latter produces similar symptoms in its manifestations despite differences in kind. As a result, the naturally pre-existing disease disappears under the influence of the primary action of the medicine. Thus freed of the natural disease, the life force then increases in energy under secondary curative action to eventually eliminate the effects of the medicine thereby leading to a restoration of the health of the patient.

A homeopathically selected remedy does not produce a counter-action because of the minuteness of its dosage and its ability to produce symptoms similar to the diseased state. For this reason, an appropriately selected homeopathic medicine does not produce any side-effects.

Virtual or In-Person Consultation: What to expect?

Arogya Clinic offers virtual consultations on Zoom and homeopathic medicine for a nominal fee with convenient shipping. During the initial consultation, Arti delves into your health history, lifestyle, and current complaints for a comprehensive assessment of your physical, mental and emotional state. The initial consultation generally lasts 1-2 hours or sometimes even longer depending on the complexity of the case. Follow-up consultations are often shorter and used to assess your response to the remedy. Treatment plans are tailored to your unique symptoms or health condition.

All patients are required to fill out an informed consent and intake form prior to initial consultation and the drawing up of a treatment plan.
